For more than a century, Maeda Corporation, which is the parent organization of the ICI Center, has worked on the construction of a range of structures, such as high-rise buildings, stadiums, airports, power plants as well as the cities we live in. In other words, Maeda Corporation has worked on providing answers to the social demands, by constructing tangible infrastructure. Today, as our social issues are becoming more complicated, it has become more difficult to solve our problems simply by using concrete and construction technology. What types of infrastructure services can we provide in order to improve the well-being of as many people as possible? This is what the ICI Center is eager to realize through our collaboration with start-ups. We will take many different approaches, sometimes wielding advanced technology, sometimes making an unconventional idea a concrete reality. On some occasions, we need to harness the power of art.
